Open House

Thank you everyone for making it to Open House last night!

Just to review what we went over here were the talking points last night:

Math: Some easy to implement activities at home

• Invest in IQ building puzzles (they will last you a life time): 2D shape creations, Guacamole, 3D Wooden pattern blocks
• Word Problems: Tell your students stories and give them word problems to do on their own
• Money: Keep in consistent! The most important aspect of working with money is the ability to count it.
• Sunshine Math: Conceptual Math. They will use it for their entirety here at CLASS

Literacy:

• Teachable moments: Have conversations with your students about what they are reading
• Always ask WHY?
• Require them to explain in detail what they mean. Practice with them on being specific

Writing:

• Practice makes perfect
