Oh the things you can think

Hi Everyone,

Hope the last two weeks of school have been going well. Your smart students are really doing great! We would love to hear from everyone on how nightly reading is going, how homework is going, and how the daily routine is going. In the meantime here are just a few quick reminders!

School starts at 8:30!
We really need everyone to do a better job of getting to school by 8:30. We know that morning traffic can stink, getting the kids up, fed, dressed, and ready to go can be exhausting too! However, we start reading class at 8:30 (first thing in the morning) and a lot of your kiddos are missing crucial reading time! Try try try to get the kiddos up a half hour earlier (even if that means they need to go to bed a half hour earlier) so that you can leave a half hour earlier and get to school on time. That would be REALLY helpful!

Reading books need to come back to school everyday!
All of your kiddos now have nightly reading homework. Those reading assignments should be read the day they come home and the books should come back to school the next day. Some of your kiddos are "forgetting" their books at home though. We are really trying to help them become responsible and accountable for their own belongings and materials. Really help them remember to pack their own backpacks and especially to pack their books!

What is the homework?
I have scanned the weekly homework to the blog!!! You can find it under the tab "This week's homework" So, if you have lost your homework, spilt coffee on it. had the dog eat it, or want your kiddos to redo it to look better, you can print out whatever page(s) you need from the blog.

We love emails!
We have heard from a few of you about how things have been going, but definitely not all of you. Ms. Robinson and I are GREAT with emails. Shoot us an email about questions you have or things your are noticing or even things you think are great. Here are our emails in case you don't have us on your "favorites" list.
